Weekend Recap: Crane Beach, the Crane Estate + a Slow Sunday

This weekend was HOT and HUMID!!

We spent most of it trying to stay cool, with a movie night, a beach day, and a very slow Sunday at home.

Friday Night

After work, we headed to our local movie theater to see the new Spider-Man movie.

The movie was good! Definitely funny with the pairing of Tom Holland and Jon Bernthal. Maybe about 30 minutes too long, but all in all, I’d recommend it. Plus, how can you not love Tom Holland and Zendaya?

Saturday

I was SO in need of a beach day. I was just telling Chris earlier in the week that we hadn’t gone to the beach outside of Martha’s Vineyard, and I was in need of the ocean. On Friday morning, he surprised me by making a reservation at Crane Beach in Ipswich, Massachusetts.

Neither of us had been to this beach before, but he had heard really great things about it. I guess it sells out early and fast. We got there about 10 minutes before they opened the gates and basically had our pick of the beach.

It quickly got busy and hot, so around noon, we packed it up, dropped our beach stuff in the car, and changed our clothes. From there, we walked a little over a mile up to the Crane Estate.

After Crane Estate, we started our drive home, but not before we stopped for a DQ Blizzard. Once we got back, I unpacked, did some laundry, and relaxed for the rest of the afternoon and night.

Sunday

My favorite type of Sunday is one with nothing planned. After such a full Saturday, it was exactly what I wanted.

I went to the gym & grocery shopped. Anyone else feel like they have no idea what to buy for produce these days?!?!

Then I cleaned the house and relaxed with a book and some TV. We finished the weekend with another episode of The Testaments.

This week should hopefully fly by! Our marketing team is heading to one of our showrooms on Tuesday for training on some new technology, followed by a manager’s retreat on Wednesday. Then on Thursday, we are heading to Boston for Chris’s birthday!
