On our last full day in Vancouver, we headed to Kitsilano, a laid-back West Side neighborhood just across the water from downtown Vancouver. Known for Kitsilano Beach, West 4th Avenue, waterfront views, and beautiful residential streets, that’s exactly how we spent our time there!
Kitsilano Beach + the Seaside Greenway
We easily found parking at EasyPark Lot 66 – Kitsilano McNicoll, conveniently located right at Kitsilano Beach. From there, we walked past the basketball courts and playground until we reached the Seaside Greenway, a waterfront path that runs along this part of Vancouver.
Then we just kept walking. We had no idea what we’d come across, but we had a good feeling.
Don’t forget to look up! Yes, this house will do.
In front of me, just a guy on the beach.
And behind me, the city and mountains.
Ocean, city, mountains. All in one shot. I love it here!
As we reached the end of that stretch of the path, we came across this massive driftwood log along the water. Look at the size of this thing!
Walking Point Grey Road
After that, we wandered along Point Grey Road, stopping approximately every 30 seconds to admire the gorgeous gardens and Craftsman-style homes.
I especially loved the entrance to this one, tucked right along the walking path.
West 4th Avenue
Eventually, we made our way to West 4th Avenue, where we stopped at 49th Parallel for coffee and tea before continuing down the street.
Kitsilano ended up being one of my favorite neighborhoods we explored in Vancouver. Between the waterfront, mountain views, beautiful homes, and West 4th Avenue, it felt like exactly the kind of place I could happily spend an entire afternoon wandering around.
